Takinom unearthed a shocking secret bond with her archenemy Intress that she wisely kept from Chaor...
Takinom, the Princess of the UnderWorld, is a tall and slim vampiress with big and slightly bumpy wings, long black hair, Venetian red skin with golden yellow markings on her arms, legs and neck and sharp-clawed hands and feet. She has thin eyebrows and dark-maroon makeup over the eyelids, strong black contours around her light yellow eyes with orchid-lilac iris and snake-like pupils. Her lips, delineated with a very deep Tyrian-purple colour, hides small fangs visible while speaking or through an occasional bright smile. A small nose almost invisible if seen from the front and delicate pointy ears finish her well-designed face. As for clothing, very much unlike a stylish vampiress, Takinom wears just polished bluish-grey plated half-body armour with salient, squared shoulder pads and thick iron wristbands and knee pads, like shackles of a broken chain.
In the Animation, starting with the M’arrillian Invasion, Takinom’s appearance changes significantly, getting somewhere closer to the Concept Art of her Card. Her body becomes skinnier and yet slightly more muscular with curvier thighs and a stiffer expression, with more exposed cheekbones. She now has a light golden-yellow skin with the same body markings, only dark green, small reddish-orange rounded iris in subtle light-green eyes. Her new dark copper-auburn hair matches very well with her Sangria red lips and the variation of the original half-body armour she now wears is of a light slate-grey tonality over dark green undergarment with even more prominent and squared shoulder pads.
During the apex of the arch, Takinom becomes The Shadowknight, with a dark greyish-purple full-body armour over a black undergarment, with maroon-red contours, platinum-grey pointy knee pads and a big midnight blue gem in front of her helmet. With longer and sharper talons and spikes, her face and wings are everything her enemies will ultimately see.
Personality & Behaviour
Takinom is renowned not only for her unyielding nature and formidable battle performance but also for her diplomacy and manipulative skills. Although her temper flares often, differently from many UnderWorlders, she exercises great discipline and self-control.
As one of Chaor’s Counsellors, she spends much of her time at his Castle in UnderWorld City, but it’s in The Twisted Palace, on a high cliff overlooking the Fear Valley, where she actually makes herself a home.
Her loyalty to Chaor and to the UnderWorld is incomparable and because of that, she despises all rebels, in special Skithia, one of the faithful servants of the treacherous Lord Van Bloot, and Krekk, whose loyalty splits between Chaor and Van Bloot as he sees fit, depending on the situation. But this loyalty has a limit. A limit that forces her to keep the bond she has with her arch-enemy Intress in secret, even from Chaor.
In combat, Takinom is a fierce, ruthless and restless warrior. Having “survival of the fittest” as a motto, no sacrifice is too great for her if the outcome is the victory. And she makes sure of that by being able to Sacrifice her own UnderWorld squadmates to recover Energy.
Her flying ability makes her swifter, giving a savage and strategic advantage over her opponents and her long and strong wings not only provide a small degree of protection but also allow her to knock off surrounding enemies with a forceful impact.
In the Animation, during the M’arrillian Invasion, Takinom becomes even more committed to her Tribe and, enraged with the M’arrillians’ ideals, comes into play the unique Shadowknight, a much more powerful, resilient and swifter Creature, regardless the heavy weight of the new full-body armour, with a different set skills and abilities.
Even though Takinom has always been a lone wolf, she was born to command and as a strategist by nature, with the combat expertise acquired after numerous battles won, the Shadowknight understands her UnderWorld companions are the key to the victory and that striking fast with full power is always the best bet.
As such, her old ability Sacrifice now gives room to Strike, allowing her to hit once, hard and repeatedly, thanks to a secondary ability that allows her, at expense of a Mugician, trigger the first ability once again during the Battle. An aggression cycle Phelphor experienced first-handed during the events of Legions of Aa’une.
And as a master of Fire and Air, her combat proficiency enhanced even further, allowing her to make the most out of the already trustable Fire Attacks but also combining them in devastator Attacks like Plasmarrow.
