Not known for his creativity, Chaor nevertheless won the capitol-naming contest for which he was also the judge
The UnderWorld City is the sinister capital of the UnderWorld located in the central part of Chaor domains.
The UnderWorld City resembles ruins of what yesteryear has been a glorious city. Large buildings with ornamented, old church-like windows, gargoyles and colourful vitraux are now just a dusty sight of the past, with crumbling walls, fallen roofs and board-blocked windows. Inherently dark, the City is poorly illuminated by big crystals on what has lasted of once nicely block-paved streets.
In the heart of the City, atop of a hill, Chaor’s Castle, where the ruler of the UnderWorld lives and to the East, near the end of the town, the humongous Iron Pillar, constantly being “patched up” by Khybon and his workers, since if somehow it comes to collapse, the nearby citizens would be in mortal danger as well as a good part of the UnderWorld itself.
As an attempt to prevent more unnecessary destructions — and, in the bargain, providing a popular entertainment — Chaor forbidden all kinds of conflicts within the UnderWorld City, decreeing that all personal matters between Creatures must be settled in the UnderWorld Colosseum.
With constant tremors, occasional flame geysers and eventual conflicts between Creatures, living here is not an easy feat and yet it’s a place full of Creatures. From those, like H’earring, who make their homes in there to those who just want to relax at the Infernal Inn, the UnderWorld City is the heart of the UnderWorld.

UnderWorlders are proud, confident and in the heart of their homeland the most ferocious fighters are rewarded with the blood of their ancestors. Here, the fastest of the engaged Creatures has the privilege of attacking first.
During Van Bloot Ascension
In the Animation, during the M’arrillian Invasion, while Chaor and a small group of loyal UnderWorlders were boldly trying to take down the M’arrillians by themselves in the Marsh of Murk, during the events of UnderWorld Overthrown, Lord Van Bloot, led an army of M’arrillians to the UnderWorld City, taking control of it by force in the name of his new master, Aa’une, and, thus, ascending as the new ruler of the UnderWorld.
As a result, the whole city became a truly frightening, dismal and sinister place, having all references to Chaor, from paintings to tapestries and statues, destroyed in favour of new ones to extol its new commander.
In the Game, this takeover is reflected by striking fear to the engaged Creatures, making all them, except Lord Van Bloot, of course, to lose 10 points of Courage. And to all Minions Van Bloot led in battle, a Courage Challenge is imposed, increasing their damage output if succeeded. And, as one may expect, the bravest of the engaged Creatures has the privilege of attacking first.
The UnderWorld City appears, in Perim or in Chaotic, in the following episodes:
